ArtSource - February 8, 2007

Wild Woman Creations features wearable art handcrafted by local artists. This working glass studio and gallery is located just north of Depoe Bay in Lincoln Beach.

They offer jewelry classes using glass and sterling silver materials. They also instruct their students in making some home interior objects.

The gallery opened in 2005 and displays a large selection of original jewelry. There are many necklaces, bracelets, pendants, and earrings to choose from. They also sell a good selection of art books, beach-glass tiles, and Dr. Seuss-style bottles with handcrafted stoppers.

Located in downtown Coos Bay in the art-deco former post office, the Coos Art Museum is the largest art museum on the Pacific Coast between San Francisco and Canada and the third oldest art museum in Oregon. A wide variety of art works in many media are on display.

A special section on the second floor is devoted to Steve Prefontaine, the most famous runner ever produced by Oregon, who was born and reared in Coos Bay.
